Gold Rush Pictures Partners with Berlinale Talents Lab
Gold Rush Pictures has announced a new multi-year partnership with Berlinale Talents, the development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival. Beginning in 2026, Gold Rush will sponsor up to three Gold Rush Pictures Berlinale Talents Lab Awards, providing Development Grants to selected filmmakers from the annual cohort.

As part of the initiative, award recipients will also be supported with travel and accommodation to attend the Cannes Film Festival, where the winners will be formally announced and presented. The 2026 jury will include Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Meryam Joobeur, award-winning Polish director Małgorzata Szumowska, and acclaimed German filmmaker Tom Tykwer.

Established in 2003, Berlinale Talents supports 200 emerging filmmakers each year through its Summit, Lab and Talent Project Market. Gold Rush Pictures becomes the first independent production company to support the Berlinale Talents Lab and will expand its involvement as a co-partner in 2027 and 2028.
The partnership follows a period of European growth for Gold Rush, including co-producing Rosebush Pruning, leading production on The Idiots, and the launch of its German office headed by Feo Aladag.
