Gold Rush Pictures and Berlinale Talents Reveal Inaugural Golden Eggs Award Winners
International independent production company Gold Rush Pictures has announced the winners of the inaugural Gold Rush Pictures Berlinale Talents Lab Awards The Golden Eggs, created in partnership with Berlinale Talents.
Selected from 18 projects within this year’s Berlinale Talents Lab cohort, filmmakers Marcel Beltrán, Subarna Dash and Aliaksei Paluyan have each been awarded €5,000 development grants alongside support for their attendance at the Cannes Film Festival. Their projects - Vicissitudes of Light, In Heat, on Loop and Incubator - were recognised for their originality, emotional depth and distinctive cinematic voices.

The awards were judged by a distinguished jury appointed by Gold Rush Pictures, featuring acclaimed British screenwriter and director Rebecca Lenkiewicz, Austrian-German filmmaker Feo Aladag and renowned German director Tom Tykwer.
Alongside the announcement of the winners, Gold Rush Pictures confirmed an expanded partnership with Berlinale Talents, becoming an official co-partner of the programme for 2027 and 2028. The move marks the first time an independent production company has supported the Berlinale Talents Lab as a co-partner and reflects Gold Rush Pictures’ growing commitment to championing bold new cinematic voices on an international stage.

The announcement has also been featured by The Hollywood Reporter (click here) highlighting the significance of the partnership and Gold Rush Pictures’ continued expansion within the international film landscape.
